Recently, I was approached by one of my customers about helping with their fundraiser to raise money to find treatments and a cure for KCNQ2 Epilipsy. Their daughter Harper is a toddler and has KCNQ2 Epilipsy, which is a genetic condition that results in epilepsy, significant cognitive and physical delays and autism. Having a toddler myself, I did not hesitate with my answer of yes, I wanted to contribute what I could could. I really wish that all decisions were that easy. I also asked my artist friends Michael Guidry and Shaun Aleman to contribute and they also provided artwork wholeheartedly.
I am lucky to be able to do what i love for a living and i think it is a great that artwork can help out a good cause. Here's hoping the
paintings and prints raise a whole lot of money! The Fundraiser is called Cocktails for a Cure and it is this Saturday April 25 from 6 to 9pm at 309 N. Pine Street, Hammond Louisiana. Here is the link to the event http://www.kcnq2cure.org/events/ or tickets can be purchased at 985-351-3123
Here is a painting of mine available at the auction,
