Commissioning a Portrait of a Loved One

Hi Everyone,

I have been doing a lot of commissions lately that are a departure from my typical subject matter. I generally paint someone’s home or a location that has particular significance to them but this year people have been asking me to paint loved ones, usually a spouse or a child. I like how these commissions allow me to exercise my strengths as an artist, I am proud of the ways that they capture the spirit of their subjects as well as their joyful colors and light.
