"To the Last" is a painting of a lone oak tree standing firm against a fiery sunset with purple clouds hovering overhead. In some ways it is a traditional landscape, but I hope that it also captures some of the intensity that I have been feeling over the past month. That there are good things in this world that are under threat and that now is the time to defend them.
