I wanted to capture the dreamlike atmosphere of the Carousel Bar and Lounge in the Monteleone hotel in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Since 1949 the Carousel Bar has been rotating every fifteen minutes, and was a favorite hangout for the writer Tennessee Williams. It also has significance for me as my wife and I stayed at the Monteleone when we were married.
