Painting New Orleans Blog

Hi Everyone,

I can remember the year that the New Orleans Saints went to the Superbowl and won. The city was still recovering after Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spill had made things seem pretty bleak. I was painting en-plein air on Sunday's and i would hear the whole city erupt in cheers during game days around me. I resolved to understand how football works and I provided the TV for my friends as we all watched the Saints withe help of Drew Brees and Shaun Peyton, and we all went down to the French Quarter to celebrate. I believe in Drew Brees as a role model and I am eternally grateful to him and the Saints for giving the city hope even in dark times.
