Hello Everyone,
As an artist I spend a lot of time in the studio as a self-propelled individual, working on the projects that I find engaging. But the truth is that artwork is essentially a ollaboration between the artist and the collector. Art comes alive when it is shown, discussed, and hopefully given pride of place in a home or office, to be passed from one generation to the next. To that end, what I can do to serve your needs?
Obviously I have my own strengths and predilections as an artist but if there is an area you would like me to explore, or a change I should make, I'd really like to hear about it.
Here are four categories of questions that I have for you. Of course if there is something you would like to tell me outside of these parameters please do so.
1. Subject Matter- What would like to see paintings of? Is there any particular subject or theme that you would like me to paint? Nature, people, a particular neighborhood or landmark, romance, sports, children? For example, I have been thinking of doing more paintings of Louisiana birds and wildlife like the one shown above but I don't know how receptive folks would be to that. I have also been thinking of doing more close-ups of people's faces. One of my clients has this painting of the young woman shown above in her home and reports that visitors are especially drawn to it.
2 Prints -Is there a specific painting you would like to see in print form? Do you like the sizes of the medium and large prints? Is it important for them to be in acid-free mats or would regular mats, which are less costly, be fine for you?
3. Hanging the Artwork- Are there particular sizes, or shapes of paintings, that you wish I had available--- Tall vertical paintings? Large square ones? Would you like to see the paintings or prints framed before you buy them?
4. Ease of Use- Is my website easy to navigate and understand? How would you suggest I improve it? When I ship to you, do the packages arrive safely? Are there some venues that I should consider showing in?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
